We are now open on Monday evenings until 7:45pm.
We know that living with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) can be challenging, and that it can sometimes make you feel as if you are losing your independence.
Therefore we are excited to offer you, until the end of July 2019, completely free of charge, an easy to use self-management app that will help support and monitor your COPD, but has also been clinically proven to help you retain your independence and health.
The MyCOPD app was designed by clinical experts and gives you 24/7 access to a range of powerful tools that monitor your symptoms and lung function as well as showing you how to improve your COPD.
MyCOPD is the only NHS approved app, and allows you to self-manage your condition with the help of a number of tools including:
- A self-management plan
- A medication diary
- Inhaler technique training
- Mindfulness and anxiety instruction
- Clear chest instruction
It also includes expert-led structured education courses covering topics such as the anatomy of the lungs, exercise and COPD, medication and treatment, nutrition and many more.
MyCOPD works on any device, including mobile and smart phones, tablets and computers, and is very simple to use.
Registration for the app is very quick and simple, just email Harriet on firstname.lastname@example.org
Harriet is our digital Health Advisor for West Suffolk and will be happy to help you get started, providing guidance and support with any app-related issues.
If you’re a patient at our practice you can now use the new NHS App, a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet.
You can use the NHS App to check your symptoms and get instant advice, book appointments, order repeat prescriptions, view your GP medical record and more.
If you already use online services you can continue to use it. You can use the NHS App as well.
